(16 June 2025) The EU Business Hub programme successfully concluded its ‘Green and Low-Carbon Technologies Korea 2025’ business mission.
The event, held on 11 and 12 June, brought together European and Korean companies specialised in green and low-carbon technologies to explore global business opportunities and foster potential partnerships. European companies visited Seoul to present their cutting-edge technologies and innovative capabilities across a wide range of areas, including circularity, clean energy technologies, energy systems, and environmental monitoring analysis and assessment equipment.
During the business mission, participating companies showcased their technologies, solutions and products, and engaged in one-on-one business meetings to discuss potential areas of collaboration and identify opportunities for business expansion. The EU Business Hub programme provided professional interpretation services to facilitate effective communication during these meetings.
Another highlight of the business mission was its Business Networking Reception, hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea. During the event, European and Korean companies exchanged insights and engaged in meaningful dialogue on the future of innovation in the Green and Low-Carbon Technologies sector in an informal and open atmosphere.
“It was a meaningful exchange with leading EU companies to explore potential cooperation in green and low-carbon technologies,” said a Korean participant from the Energy Storage and Efficiency Solutions sector after visiting the Green and Low-Carbon Technologies Korea 2025. “I was able to gain a deep understanding of the technologies and solutions of Europe’s leading companies in this field, and to discuss practical collaboration opportunities that allowed me to envision the next steps.”
On 13 June, participating European companies of the EU Business Hub programme visited the 46th International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2025), where they had the opportunity to engage with a wider range of Korean companies and explore the latest technologies in the environmental industry and carbon neutrality. More than a one-off visit, this participation in ENVEX was part of a broader strategic effort to align with major eco-friendly exhibitions in the Republic of Korea, laying the groundwork to build sustainable partnerships and foster long-term collaboration between European and Korean companies.
The next business mission organised by the EU Business Hub programme, Semiconductors Korea 2026, will take place from 9 to 13 February 2026. The event will focus on key sectors such as sustainable semiconductor manufacturing technologies, semiconductor materials and equipment, artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced packaging technologies.
